천추만대에 빛나는 우리 민족의 위대한 선각자 도산 안 창호 선생은 한국을 세계사의 중심무대에 우뚝 솟은 부강과 도의의 새로운 민주국가로 만들기 위하여 우리 국민에게 5대정신을 다음과 같이 명시 하셨다.

1. 자주 ( 自主 ) 정신	당신은 이 나라의 주인 입니까?
1. 진리 ( 眞理 ) 정신	진리는 반드시 따르는 자가 있고 정의는 반드시 이루는 날이 있다.
1. 협동 ( 協同 ) 정신	서로 사랑하는 마음으로 빙그레 웃는 세상을 만들어야 하겠소.
1. 개조 (改造 ) 정신	나는 사람을 가리키어 개조하는 동물이라 하오.
1. 애국 ( 愛國 ) 정신	나는 밥을 먹어도 대한의 독립을 위해, 잠을 자도 대한의 독립을 위해서 해왔소.

Our greatest leader and the brilliant pioneer through the ages, Dosan Ahn Chang Ho sunsaeng elucidated 5-point principles for our people as following. He sought to transform Korea into a new democratic nation, which would stand out in the center stage in the global society as a prosperous and strong nation with high morals.

1. The principle of ownership	Are you an owner of this nation?
1. The principle of truth	Truth is there for those who follow it, and the day will come when justice prevails.
1. The principle of cooperation	Let's build a world in which we wear gentle smiles filled with love for each other.
1. The principle of reformation	I am a creature who teaches people how to reform themselves.
1. The principle of patriotism	For my meals, I ate for the independence for Korea, and for my sleep, I slept for the Independence of Korea.
